Description

The goal of computer vision is to make a machine to “understand” or examine images and videos in the same way as human does. The course provides an introduction to computer vision including fundamentals of image formation and representation, camera imaging and multiview geometry, linear and nonlinear filters, segmentation and background modeling, feature detection and object matching/recognition. This is a project-based course, in which student will implement a number of computer vision algorithms throughout the semester. The course is intended for upper-level undergraduate and graduate students.
