Description

This class will prepare the student to provide culturally competent advanced practice nursing care to the dying individual and their family. The goal is to ensure the student will develop the critical thinking skills, theory, leadership, policy appraisal and research foundation necessary for safe and quality decision making and advocacy at the end of life. The student will explore the national and international initiatives to provide organizational structures that respect the values of the individual, families, communities and that of the health care providers.
