This course prepares students to develop advanced competencies in health assessment (health histories and physical examinations) to analyze data, and to make diagnostic decisions when caring for culturally diverse adults their families and communities. Through the use of a broad range of critical thinking and communication strategies, the advanced practice nursing students will develop and demonstrate advanced decision-making strategies in the planning of high quality, safe evidence-based nursing care.
